The Venue: Lake Wildwood Ca

Weddings at Lake Wildwood have a special place in my heart. This is  mainly because Andy and I live here, so our commute to work is roughly 1 mile.   We absolutely love living in this beautiful lakeside community in Northern California, and Commodore Park overlooking the lake is the perfect place for a wedding or reception.  In order to have a ceremony here, you must either be a home owner, or have a sponsor, which makes this location a wonderful inside secret for local brides.

The Wedding:

Andy and I totally fell in love with Shana and Cody!  Cody is a Veteran who was wounded while serving overseas,  and hearing their love story just melted our hearts.  More than the strength of their love and the their commitment to each other, I fell in love with their commitment to be happy and positive regardless of the circumstances around them.   Their wedding ceremony was held at her grandmother’s home, then guests were boated across the lake to a stunning reception at Commodore Park. Donna from Joy of Life Events went above and beyond transforming the park.  My favorite part of their reception, was when Shana and Cody broke out in a 5 minute, skillfully choreographed dance. In my whole career as a wedding photographer, this one topped every single first dance!

The Vendors:

During this wedding, we had the chance to work with some of our favorite wedding vendors, who have become close friends over the years. It’s so fun to show up on wedding day and work with our friends, and it makes the event go so smoothly.
