We’re so excited to photograph Kathryn and Zack’s wedding this weekend at Sequoia Mansion in Placerville. Like most of our couples, they started out feeling super nervous about being photographed.  This is why we were thrilled that they came up for a Nevada City Engagement Session before their wedding. We met at a new location for us-  Nevada City Railroad museum which had the most beautiful afternoon light!  Within 10 minutes of shooting, they were totally at ease and we had a fun evening of shooting around Nevada City.  This is the magic of engagement session.  Since most of our couples never had a professional photoshoot (with the exception of senior portraits), it can be very un-nerving thinking of being in front of the camera.  Most people think it will be uncomfortable and awkward, yet our promise is to make it a fun and natural experience, and to make you feel and look absolutely beautiful.   And sometimes there is a bit of added humor thrown in… There have been times when I’ve fallen in the river, been attacked by wasps,  slid down a hillside, dropped a camera,  you just never really know what will happen when you’re with us, but it’s always going to give you a good laugh.
