The Venue: Empire Mine State Park

One of my favorite wedding venues of all time is Empire Mine State Park in Grass Valley, Ca.  Many of my brides from the Bay Area tell me that they  “looked everywhere” for a venue, and nothing surpassed the lush gardens, diverse textures, and beauty of Empire Mine.  I feel so lucky to live 5 minutes away and have this as one of my main wedding locations throughout the spring and summer.   Here’s a peek at Lauren and Daniels beautiful wedding this summer.

Their Wedding Details:

Like most of my couples they lived out of town yet had a tie to Gold Country.   So they traveled all the way from Boston  for a destination wedding in our quaint Sierra Foothills.  Lauren donned a beautiful blush pink wedding dress, and looked absolutely stunning  as she walked herself down the isle.  Their ceremony was held in front of the stone house, with reception on the upper courts. Here’s a peek from their day…..

I loved that they incorporated a traditional wedding lasso service into their ceremony……. 

I think this is always my favorite time of day….. The moment just after the first kiss, as they walk down the isle together….

At Empire Mine State Park, many of my couples opt to do an “all guest” photo down by the reflecting pool….
