The Venue: Miner’s Foundry

Ali and Mark tied the knot this spring at The Miner’s Foundry in Nevada City, CA.   This beautiful historic venue is located right in the heart of downtown Nevada City.    It’s one of the few indoor-only venues in the Sierra Foothills which makes it perfect for year-round weddings and receptions.

The Wedding

Ali is surely the most bubbly bride we’ve ever met!   In case you didn’t know, May is National bike-to-work month.  It’s something that Ali works on promoting through her job and is ultra passionate about!  So we weren’t surprised when she told us they’d be riding off to their honeymoon suite on her vintage bike.

Although her wedding and reception were all indoors, she really wanted to incorporate nature.  Luckily, there are little pockets of lush greenery right outside the foundry doors, which makes it easy to get outdoor wedding photos without having to go off-site.  After the wedding ceremony, Ali said “having an ice-cream cone would make this moment perfect!”  So we headed around the corner to the Nevada City Chocolate Shoppe where her wedding day was made perfect.  Thanks so much to the Chocolate Shoppe for the complimentary cones!!  Here’s a tiny peek at their day.
