I’m sooo excited!!  It’s been a few weeks since Andy proposed to me yet I’ve been waiting patiently to get my ring.  Well, ok I’ll be honest, I haven’t been patient at all… I’ve actually been waiting very anxiously.

Being the very smart and considerate partner that he is,  Andy proposed to me with a beautiful and carefully chosen princess cut diamond, with the intent that we’d go together to pick out the perfect ring.

And although I photograph engagement rings just about every weekend, and I’ve touched more wedding rings than most girls will see in their life; when it came to choosing MY ring that I’d be wearing for the rest of my life, I had NO idea what I wanted.  None.  not even a clue.  And to be honest, I was a little overwhelmed…..  I mean, I wasn’t picking out a pair or earrings, or just any piece of jewlery.  It’s a ring I’d be wearing every day,  forever.  That’s a long time.

So when we went to look at rings, I had a really hard time making a decision. We went to jewelers, we looked online, I spoke with a custom goldsmith, I looked in magazines, and nothing really caught my attention.

I saw it…
And I tried it on…
And if fit perfectly, and looked perfect, and was oh-so-perfectly me.
From what I hear, this is exactly what happens when a bride finds the perfect dress (or husband for that matter)….  You just know.

So for the past 2 weeks, I’ve been waiting for the ring  to come back from the jeweler, and today I finally get the pleasure of putting it on.  Yay!!  🙂
