I’ve been to hundreds of weddings. So many weddings in fact, that I think I’ve lost count.  I’ve been part of everything from  enormous and luxurious grand scale wedding events, to small intimate pot-luck backyard weddings.  I know weddings inside and out, upside and down….  From timelines to lighting details, catering options to  bridal party etiquette, corsage pinning techniques to dress bustling, and  body tape to Spanx (don’t ask).

For years I’ve been a wedding photographer and have guided my brides through the excitement (and stress) of planning their dream wedding.  I’ve been by their side through one of the most emotional and intimate days of their life, and have loved every second of it!    And now, I’m so excited to announce that it’s my turn to be the bride- YAY!   Yes, Andy and I are getting married!

And even though I thought I knew everything about weddings, I’m quickly learning a whole new side.  I’m suddenly seeing things from a different perspective- from the perspective of being “The Bride”.   And not only am I so excited about jumping in and planning something special for us, I’m also surprised and  excited about how this process will grow me into  being better wedding photographers for my couples.  All of the sudden, I feel so connected to my couples and can truly understand the process they’re going through.

I can’t wait to share the journey as it unfolds for us, in fact- I even gave the blog a make-over for the occasion!   So stay tuned because this year we have so much in store.   I have a ton of weddings to share, and I even managed to sweet-talk Andy into participating in the blog, so you’ll be hearing from him as we plan our wedding and photograph our couples beautiful weddings this year.
