Private Estate Wedding
Every year we get to photograph some of the most beautiful private estate weddings in Northern California. Although it takes more planning and vision to have a private estate wedding- with the right professionals, your space can be transformed into a perfect and unique wedding venue. This is exactly what Paige and Andrew got to experience first hand when they tied the knot last September at their family home in Auburn, Ca. Their day was complete perfection gushing with unique details thanks to our friends at Jenn Robirds Events. Scroll down to see the most unique thing we’ve EVER seen at a wedding (and we’ve been to hundreds of weddings!!)

Barn weddings do NOT have to be rustic!
Ok and I just HAD to include this behind the scenes photos of Jenn Robirds Events... we love that she goes above and beyond to make sure wedding details are perfect. I must have watched her swiffer this dance floor at least a dozen times before guests arrived.
We love that the entire property was used throughout the day, which created the perfect flow for guests.
Mini margaritas topped with a mini tostada- YES! Add a mini taco in a lime wedge and you have cocktail hour perfection.
This gorgeous lounge from our friends at Celebrations Party Rentals specially designed for Jenn Robirds Events
And hands down the COOLEST thing we’ve ever seen at a wedding! They commissioned Chad Hunder Plein Air Painter/Artist to paint the reception scene. I’ll be honest, when I saw “painter paints dinner” on the schedule, I wasn’t sure what that meant. Yet when Chad arrived and started working (in the perfect painters outfit), it added so much to the evening. When Paige & Andrew came to our home for their photo reveal, we got to see the final artwork which was AMAZING!!!
Gourmet pizzas with customized pizza paddles from Flour Dust Pizza (our favorite!)
And when your new last name is Schmidt- it only makes sense to have the hashtag #schmidtshow and create a custom neon sign for above the bar!
Late night snack of mini burgers and shakes tops off the perfect night…
If you’re planning your own private estate wedding, there are some key things to consider including: lighting, restrooms, parking, additional power and more. Be sure to work with a reputable event designer to prevent unseen road bumps! Although it’s much more work to plan a private estate wedding, the memories of getting married on family property is priceless.
