Tell us a bit about Vizcaya:
Vizcaya has been voted best Sacramento Wedding Venue, by KCRA’s A list in 2013 and 2014. Our focal point is the beautiful Pavilion, surrounded by elegant manicured gardens and a gorgeous fountain. The Pavilion features stained glass lighting, soaring ceilings, and spectacular floor to ceiling windows. Outside, the lushly landscaped Courtyard Gardens provide a remarkable setting for an intimate wedding ceremony. The property also boasts a Queen Anne period Bed and Breakfast that is a State of California designated historical site, which houses eight guest rooms.
Is Vizcaya and outdoor or indoor venue?
Vizcaya offers both indoor and outdoor weddings and receptions. Outdoor weddings take place in The Gardens or East Patio, we also offer indoor weddings in the beautiful Pavilion.
Does Vizcaya offer year round or seasonal weddings?
We host weddings all year long in our weatherproof Pavilion. We also allow for the tenting of our Courtyard space.
How many weddings do you host each year?
We host approximately 150 weddings each year.

We can accommodate up to 240 guests.
How do you help couples customize their wedding?
At Vizcaya, we aim to give all of our couples a very personalized, hands-on planning experience. During our detailing meetings, we will design a custom timeline, floorplan, and decor plan. During your vendor selection process, we will assist in guiding you through our list of preferred vendors in order to find the perfect match. On event day, your event coordinator will set out all of your personal decor on event day and ensure that all of your vendors are executing your vision. Our goal is to ensure the bride and groom do not have to step foot inside the Pavilion until the start of the event and can enjoy their day getting ready.
How far in advance should couples book their wedding ?
Our dates fill up quickly, with prime dates sometimes booking 18 months in advance.
Tell us about your favorite wedding from last season:
Michelle and Dan’s New Years Eve wedding was a night that we will never forget here at Vizcaya. This wedding popped with sparkle and glam as the couple danced their way into a new year and a new marriage. Michele’s blush princess wedding gown was a site to see as it sparkled under the Pavilion lights. With a majority of their guests being from New York, we hosted two midnight countdowns, due to the time difference. Dramatic candelabra floral centerpieces, an abundance of romantic lit candles, and a glitzy gold candy bar made this the perfect ending to an amazing 2016 wedding year for our staff at Vizcaya.
What’s one interesting fact about your venue?
Our property is also a Queen Anne period Bed and Breakfast that is a State of California designated historical site, which houses eight guest rooms.
